EPONINE AND LOVE

'ponine is a little street waif in France during the 1800's who falls in love with young student, Marius Pontmercy. Marius, however, is in love with Cosette, a girl the same age as Eponine who is the adopted child of the stories main character Jean Valjean.

In my opinion these characters are not the only ones in love. Montparnasse, the youngest member of Thenardiers gang, shows ( in the book ) some kindness to Eponine one of the only people who does and the only person who does, not because they have to, or feel obliged to.
